I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. where I met and married my husband of 34 years. We have 4 wonderful children and 3 magnificent grandchildren. I learned to sew at an early age. I have been sewing for customers over 20 years. When my children were old enough I decided to go to college to get a degree in fashion design. I wanted to see what I did not already know. And having that piece of paper lends some credibility. I received my associate's degree in fashion design from Phoenix College in 2001.
I moved Sew What!?! Creative Sewing back to my home in 2009. I do primarily bridal and evening wear. I plan to launch a line of flower girl dresses in the near future. Also I am working on a line of purses/ bags called "the Scrap bag" In my line of work I accumulate a lot of scraps of fabric. I hate to throw it all away because that stuff would just end up in a land fill somewhere. So I am going to make handbags, tote bags, purses and such out of the "scraps".
